Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a fully established business operating within the UK for nearly 30 years, they have a very diverse office full of engineers of varying disciplines and are currently loooking to add a talented and enthusiastic Senior Mechancial Engineer to the team in Oxford.

Senior Mechanical Engineer duties include:

*Undertaking strategy advice through to detailed mechanical building services design calculations using a wide range of techniques, including manual hand calculations, Excel spreadsheets and use of industry standard software such as IES and Hevacomp
*Producing feasibility reports, design specifications and drawings suitable for a wide range of design phases
*Undertake surveys on mechanical building services to advise on their suitability for continued use
*Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
*Working to deliver engineering solutions to client budgets and programmes
*Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
*Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

• Degree or HNC in building services/ mechanical engineering
• Exemplary design skills within the building services environment
• At least 7 years' experience within a design role within a building services consultancy
• CEng or working towards chartership
• Ability to mage multiple projects at one time
• Good knowledge of a variety of design software
