Due to their continued success, they now have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanically biased Building Services Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Services Site Engineer with a Mechanical background to be based at a project in Salisbury, South West England.

Reporting into the Project Managers, this is a permanent role playing a key part in delivery of a highly prestigious project.

Key aspects of the role will be the implementation of the project/ site programme ensuring that the workforce, both employed or subcontracted, are managed to maximise productivity, through the co-ordination of labour and project/site activities ensuring that all front-line workforce are engaged, informed and motivated.

Effectively manage and monitor the safety performance, resource deployment and productivity of all site-based activities for the project / designated area of control whilst providing accurate and concise information to project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sub-contractor management: Monitor and ensure that the work of the appointed specialist sub-contractors is being carried out to specification and programme.
• Productivity:Working with PM/CM to identify labour requirements to ensure cost effective use of the same. Regularly reviewing requirements and making appropriate recommendations to amend the programme which maximises productivity whilst minimising costs.
• Engineering: Develop installation drawings and implement best practice techniques to ensure efficient delivery of the project.
• H&S: Demonstrate appropriate Health and Safety leadership to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities relating to the project on which they are working.
• Compliance: Ensure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with internal regulations and external legislation governing business operations.
• Relationships with Customers: Maintaining positive relationships with the project customer through efficient delivery of projects with a view to optimising future opportunities and profitability.
• Quality:Develop and adhere to project specific quality plan that complies to the contract specification and quality standards whilst reducing risk.
• Team Leadership:Locally manage the workforce on the project to ensure required standards of timekeeping, absence and behaviour are communicated and adhered to.

REQUIREMENTS

• Essential to have previous M & E Site engineering experience
• Significant building services and workforce management experience in a construction environment.
• Must be qualified in the trade (Mechanical Bias)
• ILM Level 1 training
• Security Clearance (Desirable - Is required for the role as part of on boarding)
