Your new company
This established award winning practice of consulting engineers has offices in the UK, the middle east and far east. They work on technically demanding projects in scientific buildings, healthcare and hospitals, industrial, as well as commercial and leisure facilities. Being part of a large group the have the presence and financial backing to attract large scale projects, but each of their offices has a smaller team of MEP Engineers, giving a small business feel. They believe in strong professional development for their engineers, with an emphasis on support to Chartered status and CPD. Due to project wins they are seeking to grow their team in London with an expert mechanical engineer.

Your new role
You will take a leading role in managing an MEP design project. From initial stages through to completion, you will be involved during all stages of a project. You will design and specify mechanical systems within scientific, health, and industrial buildings, so a strong technical ability is essential. You will also oversee the design work of other consultancies on external projects, acting as a client representative. Your role will see you regularly attending meetings with your client and other professionals, as well as attending site.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within a consultancy setting or similar, and be familiar with handling a project with minimal supervision. You will have strong technical ability, and be able to demonstrate your experience within technical sectors, such as health or industrial. You will be client facing, so strong communication and inter-personal skills are essential. You will have a relevant qualification, and be aiming for Chartered status.
