The University of East Anglia is looking for a highly motivated and experienced manager to join their Estates and Facilities Division to shape the next phase of its campus development through sector-leading engineering.
Based within the Sustainability, Utilities and Engineering (SUE) Department, the role holder will manage the Engineering Team. They will lead, develop and maintain a sustainable Engineering and Infrastructure Plan to support UEA’s built assets (buildings, plant and infrastructure), maximising a compliant, reliable, efficient function aligned to industry best practice and enacted in collaboration with the Maintenance, Projects and SUE delivery functions.
As our ideal candidate, you will be experienced in leading an engineering team in a construction, maintenance or other FM context including involvement in significant new build projects. Ideally you’ll have worked within the HE sector and have membership of a related professional body such as CIBSE or RICS to chartered status. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively, and to think and operate at both an operational and strategic level. We are looking for candidates with technical engineering knowledge and expertise, understanding of customer-focused service delivery and strong commercial skills. You will be organised and flexible in your approach and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be confident in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the institution.
