Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer job, London, £34-40k, boutique specialist MEP consultancy

Your new company
This specialist building services consultancy offers full MEP design services, including detailed sustainability and building physics services. A boutique consultancy with a strong family feel, they operate out of several offices across London and the home counties. They work on a broad range of projects, including: education, heritage, residential, public sector, and more. With a recent senior hire in their centrally located London office, they are now seeking a supporting engineer to work alongside them.

Your new role
Joining a well located office in central London you will work closely with a principal mechanical engineer. You will be involved in all aspects of delivering MEP design projects. You will produce full design and specification, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assist with contractor management and supervision of works on site. You will continuously develop your own understanding of the latest industry standards and new technologies, and apply this appropriately in your live projects. You will be involved in all design stages, including attendance of internal and external design team meetings, following a project through to completion.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of mechanical design from a design consultancy setting, or similar. You will be at a junior or intermediate level and be eager and willing to learn and develop. You will be interested in working closely with clients, and have professional behaviours that would represent your new company well. You will have a relevant engineering qualification. You will have an interest in gaining Chartered status, or be working towards this already.

What you'll get in return
You will join an established and respected specialist MEP consultancy who work on a wide range of projects that will further your experience. You will be offered close mentoring from a principal engineer, and other training opportunities. You will be assisted with developing towards Chartered status. You will join a close-knit and supportive employer that offers flexibility in work and range of benefits.
