M&E Quantity Surveyor (Trainee to Intermediate)

I am currently working with a very well known and established M&E contractor who have a fantastic opportunity for an M&E QS to join their commercial team. They are open to the level of candidate and would consider someone who is a trainee and studying up to a degree qualified intermediate QS.

They have an enviable reputation for delivering challenging projects across a number of different sectors including, Education, Commercial, Leisure, Energy and High Technology.

The purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to the Commercial Manager and Senior QS.

Role and responsibilities will depend on the level of candidate however typical duties will include the following:

• Produce and submit applications for approval
• Managing and costing the variations
• Assist the M&E Project Managers and Commercial Manager with monthly project cost reports
• Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company
• Assist in the identification of potential risks and opportunities on projects
• Attend client and sub-contractor meetings

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Ideally Degree Qualified M&E Quantity Surveyor
• Analytical with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good negotiation skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office
• Good methodical approach to work.
