Job Details
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer now required by our client, a forward-thinking building services consultancy based in Central London. Due to planned expansion you will be joining a consultancy that has an excellent reputation with Architects and project managers through the UK and Europe.
Working alongside many illustrious end users you will take over the full mechanical output for the business. Carrying a minimum of 10 years building services experience you will look after the following -
Calculations
HVAC Design
Pipe Sizing
Sourcing Equipment
Report writing
DTM and Client meetings (some abroad)
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be a strong communicator and be able to get the best out of junior engineers and CAD staff. You should possess a good commercial understanding of projects with some exposure to producing fee proposals.
You will be looking for a long-term future within a smaller consultancy.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
CIBSE Membership
10 years design experience within buildings (not rail or oil and gas)
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Hevacomp
Proven track record in project delivery
Strong communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Experience of monitoring more junior engineers
