Mechanical Inspector/ Clerk of Works

Mechanical Inspector, Clerk of Works required to work on a temporary contract within the public sector.

Your new company
This is a large public sector organisation with a portfolio of properties which include, laboratories, lecture theatres, boiler rooms and office buildings. The team looks after new built and refurbishment projects which wary in complexity and value. With a varied portfolio the work here is both interesting and secure.

Your new role
You will be working as part of a larger estates team acting as a mechanical inspector/ mechanical clerk of works, where predominantly you will be checking that the mechanical installations across the estates are delivered correctly and within the correct standard. You may occasionally help the design team in delivering specification and advising on the best practices for mechanical installations.

What you'll need to succeed
HNC in mechanical engineering or building services engineering with previous experience acting as a mechanical inspector/ clerk of works or someone who has actually delivered mechanical installations on site and feels confident checking mechanical installations and advising if the work delivered in incorrect. You will then follow up with a report on the work delivered, therefore you will need to posses great communication skills.
