Your new company
A Nottinghamshire based Consultancy are looking to recruit a Freelance Electrical Design Engineer, to start an initially part time contract mid-September.

This Consultancy offers Design and Project management services for their clients, and work within a variety of sectors including; retail, commercial MOD, residential, healthcare, education and industrial.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the design of electrical services, using Amtech for calculations, for a range of projects within a variety of sectors.

You will work as part of a wider team, liaising with the client, fellow designers and contractors, and will have the opportunity to carry out site visits at the start of a project, and then as and when necessary throughout.

Initially this contract will be for 2 days a week with the potential to carry out one of the days working from home. This contract is estimated to last a minimum of 6 months, with the ability to increase your hours throughout, providing both parties are in agreement.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have strong cable calculation skills with Amtech knowledge being desirable. A proficiency in CAD would be beneficial but not a necessity as this consultancy have in house CAD resources.

You must have a wealth of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer as this company are looking for a freelancer who can confidently step in and work on projects without too much supervision or guidance.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive hourly rate and will be paid weekly with access to our online time-sheet portal.

You will start initially on 2 days a week, with the opportunity to increase your hours throughout the contracts duration, which is estimated to last a minimum of 6 months. You will also have the potential to carry out some of your work from home.

This consultancy are one our our most regular freelance users, so provided the contract is successful, it could open up the opportunity for repeat business in the future.
