Associate Mechanical Engineer

The client that we are currently working with have been established for over 30 years and have offices spanning the country. They are currently looking to expand this office with their currently being around 12 in the Bristol office and looking to grow the team to 15 by the end of the year due to project wins. To do this they are looking to employ the help of an experienced and dynamic Associate Mechanical Engineer that knows the local market and would be comfortable in leading and growing the team. This is a great position for someone that is looking to continue rising up the ranks to Associate Director level as you will be given the responsibility to help build the team and will act as the mechanical lead on projects being given more responsibility as you grow with the company. This position will allow you act as a work winner and you will be given the chance to help bring new business into the company which you will be rewarded for.
As the successful Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will have to be extremely technically capable when it comes to mechanical systems throughout a number of different building types. You will currently hold a management position and won't have a problem leading other engineers on key projects. You will ideally have some work winning experience and good connections within the south west however this is not essential. You will be expected to Develop and present project design proposals to clients following the initial brief and Practice discussions so that client requirements are met, acting as either lead consultant or as member of a design team. Prepare, ready for tender, specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules and contract documentation. As well as Issuing in conjunction with the client, contract documentation to tender, adjudicate and recommend appropriate contractor to meet project requirements. Manage, guide and develop technical subordinates in order that they may fully participate in their various teams.
Associate Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
Educated to degree or HND level in Mechanical engineering or building services
Minimum of 10 years in the business
Help shape and grow the technical development of the group
*Assisting the office Partner to lead and manage the Building Services team
*Manage existing clients and develop further opportunities
*Look to grow the group on the back of new and repeat clients
*Be responsible for resourcing and delivering to a financial target
*Raise awareness of the company by attendance at networking events, seminars and business development events.
