HVAC Technician

Freelance HVAC Technician - Leicestershire area - £20 to £25 p/h - 4m project (possibility of extension)

Your new company
Hays Building Services, Leicester are seeking an Freelance HVAC Technician to support for one of Hays Private Sector clients based within the East Midlands.

Your new role
As an HVAC Technician you will be expected to test pipes, tubing joints and connection of leaks. You will install split type HVAC units and change filters, clean ducts and refill refrigerants. You will carry out adjustments on system controls and be able to connect and/or adjust thermostats, humidstats or timers. Finally, you will be able to cut or drill holes in building structures whilst carrying out adjustments/installations of HVAC equipment.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified HVAC Technician with a NVQ in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent). You will have experience working with split units, AHU's, VRV's and chillers with a proven track record of fault finding and carrying out efficient repairs. 2079 Safe Handling of refrigeration and CCNSG are desirable tickets but not essential.
