Associate Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you currently looking for your next exciting career move with a highly established and renowned Multidisciplinary Consultancy as an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer?

The client that we are currently work with have been established for over a century and work on some of the most notable projects across the UK. They have offices across the country and over 1,000 engineering professionals working with them. They are renowned for their high standards of work and create some for the most talented engineers the country has to offer. They are currently looking for an ambitious and highly talented Associate of Mechanical bias to come and join their Readng office.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone that feels that they are stagnating in their current position and feels they can't climb the ladder any higher. My client is willing to look at Principal Design Engineers that may be ready to take the next step up in their career as well.

You will have to be extremely technically capable as a mechanical engineer while at the same time holding strong client facing skills and not afraid to use them. My client is looking for someone that is genuinely interested in the building services industry and has a legitimate passion for engineering. You would be given the opportunity to manage a team around you and carry out projects as you see fit. They're looking for someone that isn't afraid to get stuck straight in to some of their more major schemes and delivering projects. You wouldnt be required to do any business development for this position but if that is something you're interested in they won't hold you back!

Associate Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • Held a similar position in previous roles
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Building Services industry
  • You will be chartered and hold other professional industry qualifications
  • Up to date knowledge of building regulations/ legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Brilliant client management
  • Strong leadership characteristics
  • Ability to lead and manage teams of engineers
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of design software
  • Full UK driving license
