Mechanical Design Engineer

New opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading, Multi-Disciplinary consultancy on a permanent basis in London. You will be joining an award winning organisation with a wealth of knowledge and experience delivering expert engineering solutions to a variety projects throughout the UK. This role will involve working on a variety of project types, including datacentres, and so experience in this field is required. Due to an increasing workload, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Your key roles and responsibilities will include:

• The design of mechanical building systems including heating, ventilation and cooling.
• Assisting senior members of staff in the development of sustainable energy strategies for buildings, including communicating with relevant authorities to agree plans
• Productions of concept, developed and technical drawings
• Developing engineering designs using software such as Revit MEP
• Liaise with the architect and other team members throughout all project stages
• Conducting thermal analysis using modelling software such as IES.
• Providing support for and reviewing the work of Junior Engineers

Essential skills, experience and attributes:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Experience working on a variety of M&E project types, including datacentres
• A degree in a relevant discipline would be beneficial but is not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven experience using a variety of CAD and BIM software
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines
• Friendly and approachable attitude
