Excellent opportunity for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join a highly reputable building Services consultancy on a permanent basis on the outskirts of Birmingham. Our client specialises in sustainable areas of building design throughout the UK, across a variety of projects including Hotels, heritage, commercial, healthcare and education, and are looking for a Mechanical Associate to help develop their business.
The chosen Associate Mechanical Engineer will join a dedicated team of skilled professionals in the growing office of an established, exciting company and will work on a mixture of project types.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing the Mechanical Engineering team within the company, and be part of the Building Services discipline group
- Leading the delivery of key projects and frameworks through creating good working relationships with a number of stakeholders
- Leading the technical development of the Mechanical Engineering team
- Managing existing clients and developing further opportunities through repeat clients
- Working with the Senior team to support resourcing and meeting financial targets
- Supporting junior engineers and assisting in the design of a variety of projects
Key skills, experience and attributes required:
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject, or HND level
- Significant knowledge in the Building Services, with prior experience working in different areas of the industry
- Chartered Engineer
- Experience designing projects from conception to completion
- Knowledge of relevant CAD software
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of relevant building regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise workloads
