Exciting opportunity for an ambitious Building Services Mechanical Design Engineer to join a thriving nationwide consultancy in their London Office. With a reputation for award winning engineering designs they work on a variety of projects including residential, educational, Judicial and Healthcare. Due to increased demand for their services, they are currently looking to expand their London office with a Mechanical Design Engineer.

As the successful Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join their enthusiastic team in London. Working within the heart of the design team you will be providing input on design strategies and conceptual design, using a variety of software, over a variety of project types. As this is a client facing role, you will be required to manage client and design team relationships, ensuring the clients requirements are understood and interpreted in accordance with the project brief. You will be required to support senior members of staff and report to the MEP Director. Within this role there is room for self-development and progression within the company. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate skills within the following areas;

  • Strong building services background
  • Experience of working on a variety of projects including; Education and residential
  • Knowledge of existing standards and ability to develop requirements for new building service projects
  • Working knowledge of technical software
  • Excellent time management skills, demonstrating the capability to proactively implement plans, follow through with sustained execution, and to meet project milestones
  • Drive and determination
  • Commitment to the company, with a desire to stay and progress internally
  • Forward thinking and able to anticipate problems
  • Good supervisory qualities and experience, including excellent communication skills
  • A strong vent design experience

As the ideal candidate you will be degree qualified or equivalent in the relevant subject area and working knowledge of technical software including Hevacomp, IES and ideally Revit.
