Compliance Manager

Grade 15: £51,450 - £54,597 (pay award pending)

We’ve transformed our Place Directorate and our Housing Property & Asset Services.

Now all we need is you.

Delivering thousands of new homes. Meeting the climate emergency. Ensuring the safety of residents. These are just some of the challenges facing the borough of Ealing. To meet these 21st century issues and bring progress borough-wide, we’ve transformed our Place Directorate so it’s fit for a fast-changing world. Play your part in a joined-up service that’s built to support our exciting plans.

As a Compliance Manager in our revamped Housing Assets and Property Services function, you’ll make sure Council homes are not only safe for residents, but also equipped with low-carbon, renewable systems.

You’ll be the strategic lead for all fire safety, mechanical and electrical services in our properties, implementing industry best practice, creating a technical competence framework and developing technical specifications for the construction and refurbishment of homes. You’ll also identify Higher Risk Residential Buildings (HRRB), developing safety cases to manage these buildings over their lifetime.

Meeting statutory and best practice guidelines means leading a technical team and managing sizeable budgets. You’ll also build relationships with contractors, lead on sustainability and act as a technical expert.

We’re therefore looking for a skilled professional with a level 4 qualification and membership of a relevant professional body (IET, CIBSE, BIFM or the IFE). An experienced manager, you’ve run customer-focused services, led diverse teams and delivered large-scale change. You’ve also achieved success through collaboration, drawing on strong communication skills to explain complex technical information. Now you’re keen to bring your talents to a unique and ever-evolving borough.

We want Council tenants and leaseholders to get the very best from us. Take pride in meeting the challenge as part of a progressive, forward-looking team.

For a confidential discussion about any of the roles role please contact our recruitment partner at Penna: Andreas Efthymiou on 0203 849 2695 or Andreas.Efthymiou@penna.com

Closing date for applications: Midnight on 22nd September 2020.
