Sustainability Associate

Working closely with all the members of a design team you'll help define the client's sustainability aspirations on projects and then help create an integrated and holistic sustainability strategy.

You'll liaise with architects, MEP Design Engineers, Structural Engineers, Planners and Building Physics Engineers and lead teams on large, complex buildings or masterplan projects.

You'll be involved in both UK and globally projects so you'll need to have a good appreciation of UK accreditations and methodologies such as BREEAM, Passivhaus and WELL and have knowledge of LEED, Greenstar or Nabers. You'll be familiar with new build and complex refurbishment projects and be able to discuss LCA and best practices both internally and externally.

You'll help design projects and developments that minimise carbon emissions (and embodied carbon) across the lifetime of a project and ensure these projects remain innovative and utilise the least amount of fossil fuels possible.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant subject such as Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Architecture or Energy Engineering.
• Good understanding of Building Services, Energy and Sustainability, Architecture. Microclimate Analysis and Biophilic design.
• Previous experience in large scale, low or zero carbon masterplan or regeneration developments.
• Expert knowledge on building performance engineering and renewable energy.
• Able to work in the UK without the need to be sponsored under a Tier 2 Visa.
