Senior / Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Building Services Engineer for long standing consultancy in Birmingham

Your new company

You will be working with a consultancy who has been offering expert M&E design for over 40 years and who works across most of the commercial sectors including residential, commercial, hotels, education, leisure, healthcare, industrial and many others.

Your new role

The role would suit a motivated engineer from engineer level through to senior engineer level. You will be able to work alone and as part of a team and will take full responsibility for delivering projects, including being client facing. Confidence in ability and personable.

You role will involve:

• Being involved in all stages of the projects
• Working closely with others, in a team environment, to achieve a common goal
• Producing drawings and specifications
• Carrying out design calculations utilising both manual and computer techniques
• Monitor own design delivery for quality and in line with programme and budget
• Liaison with the other design department members to understand client's requirements and select solutions, plant and equipment appropriately with some guidance
• Services technical design knowledge and co-ordination
• Sustainability understanding and implementation (LZC)

What you'll need to succeed

• The successful candidate will have a Degree in electrical or building services engineering or HNC/HND.
• Minimum of 3 years experience of design in building services, post qualification completion.
• Experience of Software design using - Relux/Dialux, Amtech, Revit
• Knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations documents etc.
• Membership (CIBSE, IET)
