Our client is an independently owned Multidisciplinary Consultancy with multiple offices across the globe. They have been established for over 30 years and have cemented themselves as one of the goto consultancies in the market. They are currently looking for a Director of Fire Engineering to join them in their London office and work with them and their established team.

This person will have demonstrable experience when it comes to delivery of consultancy services and must have experience with Fire Strategy Design. You will have excellent understanding of UK legislation, standards and guidance, such as Regulatory Reform (Fire & Safety) Order 2005; HM Government Fire Safety Risk Assessment Guides; The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999; Building Regulations - Approved Document B; BSI PAS79.

Their London office currently sits at about 10 strong and they are really keen to get someone in that would be interested in growing it and making it their own. This role will be a 50/50 split between business development and building a team/ running projects in the London office as well as working on their international schemes. All of their offices work collaboratively so you wouldn't be left to fend for yourself, expected to bring fees on a month by month basis. You would be given on-going support and the time needed to help grow the London business.

The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide leadership and technical support to a team of Fire Engineers of varying capability, from Graduate to Senior. You will be responsible for overseeing their development, day to day team management and the financial performance of your team. You will be working on UK based and International projects and will be expected to bring in fees after a period of time.

The ideal candidate is going to have a minimum of 15 years in the industry. Ideally chartered with a MSc in a relevant fire engineering subject. You will have exemplary knowledge of the fire safety sector and will be well connected in the Southern Market and surrounding areas. You will have demonstrable project experience across multiple sectors and have an enthusiastic approach to the development of the engineers you manage. You must be a chartered engineer and member of the IFE, with demonstrable experience in growing a division and known for your technical delivery.
