This mid-sized MEP specialist consultancy works on a large number of London based projects each year, although their team are based in offices elsewhere in the UK. The business has expertise in a variety of sectors, with hotels, residential, and commercial fit-out being the most common in London. With continued commitment from their London-based clients they are seeking a new leader to front their London presence.

Your new role
You will take charge of all leadership elements for London based projects and clients, becoming the face for the business in London. You will attend client meetings, attend sites, manage client relationships, take charge of ultimate project delivery, and most project management activities. You will be supported by an experienced design team working from other offices, and assisted locally by weekly visits by company directors and other engineers, as projects require. You will guide your clients during design stages, and solve problems as they occur on site. Additionally, you will support longer-term growth by supporting various business development activities, such as attending networking events, introducing the business and track record to new clients, preparing bids and presentations, etc.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced and expert MEP mechanical design engineer, with a consultancy background. You will be experienced in a variety of project types typical to London, such as residential developments and commercial fit-out. You will have excellent client-facing skills, and be confident in acting as the face of the business during all meetings. You will be able to guide the successful delivery of MEP design projects, whilst working collaboratively with a remote team of design engineers. You will have a keen interest in business development, with some history of winning work desirable.
