Our client is a building services consultancy that have sustained growth over the last year and have mentioned that they have not really been affected and have been as busy as ever. Because of this they are currently looking for a Mechanical Design engineer to come and sit within their Essex office. They have a varied portfolio of works so are ideally looking for a well-rounded engineer that has worked on projects in a variety of sectors. This person will have to be a hands-on engineer that can get stuck into the nuts and bolts design through the RIBA stages and ideally someone that has involvement on the client side of things as well.

You will be comfortable being left to you own devices and ideally will have some experience managing small scale jobs by yourself. You won't be afraid to ask for help where it is needed. You will be a technically capable Design Engineer having designed mechanical systems throughout a variety of building types and fully conversant with industry specific software such as Hevacomp, AutoCAD with the ability to use IES and Revit being highly advantageous. Desired candidates will have a stable career history and demonstrable experience when it comes to all aspects of mechanical design to also include PH.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
• 4 years minimum experience in the building services industry
• Experience designing using industry specific software
• Ability to work by independently on projects
• Must have experience within the building services industry
