Principal Acoustic Consultant
Our client is a well-known multidisciplinary consultancy that has managed to sustain growth during the pandemic and has continued to win projects across multiple sectors. They are around 500 strong across the UK and are currently looking to add a Principal Acoustic Consultant to their London team. They work on a variety of projects from small niche projects to large complex schemes across a range of a range of sectors spanning multiple continents.
The successful Principal Acoustic consultant will bring a wealth of experience and will be extremely technically competent. You will be used to taking responsibility for the input of acoustic advice on a wide range of built environment engineering projects, and will provide management and supervision to projects and team members. You will take the lead on projects attending client meetings and managing stakeholder expectations, taking charge of all design issues relating to acoustics, noise and vibration will be crucial. The technical duties will include preparing and overseeing fee proposals for acoustics, noise and vibration assessments, sound management programmes and design specifications, which includes liaising with clients, acquisition and collation of data, computer modelling, noise and vibration monitoring, noise and vibration measurements, calculations and processing of results, interpretation of data, and production of reports, drawings, figures and tables. A good working knowledge of acoustic materials for reverberation control and detailing of construction elements.
Principal Acoustic Consultant Requirements:
- Degree in Acoustic Engineering or relevant discipline Ideally from a consultancy background In depth understanding of environmental and building related acoustic work streams Demonstrable technical experience Experience in commercial and mission critical projects will be highly advantageous
