Your new company
This respected building services and sustainability consultancy has seen consistent growth in recent years, thanks to repeat clients, quality project delivery, and a team of enthusiastic and driven people. Their culture is relaxed, creative, and quality focused, with a new flexible office space to support agile working. Projects are varied and often contain unusual or challenging elements. Projects include residential blocks and major masterplans, workplace refurbishment, and major mixed-use developments, labs and pharma facilities. Now with a team of 45 engineers and consultants, they have identified significant growth opportunities in their sustainability team, creating a new leadership role today, with further roles planned for later this year. The sustainability team is being focused into three service lines: sustainability & wellness, energy & carbon, and planning and masterplans. Your role will be to take a lead of sustainability and wellness, but skills in other areas will be welcome.

Your new role
You will lead the sustainability and wellness service line, supported by an experienced director of sustainability. You will be offered significant autonomy to lead this service and the team, and be instrumental in continued growth of the sustainability team. You will take a lead on all BREEAM and WELL services. You will work closely with internal MEP engineers, as well as external consultants. You will manage two consultants directly. You will lead client and design meetings. You will support wider business development activities. You will support strategic decisions for further growing the sustainability team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will currently work in a built environment consultancy, at a senior or associate level, with a keen understanding of BREEAM and WELL. You will have a varied range of project experiences and enjoy working on a variety of building projects. You will have a keen commercial awareness, and be able to support growth of the team by identifying future opportunities. You will be driven to progress your career and grow your team. You will have relevant qualifications and accreditations in sustainability (BREEAM, WELL, etc).
