Our client is an International Consultancy with offices across the world. They are currently looking for a head of Department to take over their Fire & Life Safety team. They have around 10 people in their London office with a strong presence in Asia. They are currently looking to expand the London team and are looking for someone ambitious enough to help them with this. You will need to have good business development skills and will play an active part in the commercial growth of the office.

Head of Department Responsibilities:

UK Business Performance / Strategy / Development Recruitment and Staff Management, Take a lead role in the execution of plan for the stagewise growth of medium term (3 to 12 month lookahead) business by strategic targeting and cross-selling. Strategic expansion of competent offering to align with targeted Clients and sectors through strategic resourcing (personnel, facilities). Lead the successful Delivery of UK and international projects working with project team Technical Engineers and Consultant team throughout all project phases Accountability for client relationship management and development within the division Assist in Commercial management of division Lead the recruitment, support training of junior employees

Head of Department Fire Engineering Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years in experience In a consultancy in a similar position Degree in relevant engineering subject CEng and member of industry recognised bodies Extremely technically capable Ability to devise and develop pragmatic solutions, support and resolve complex project challenges. Demonstrates leadership qualities and strong communication skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to reason, read and adapt to address a broad audience with comfort and presence.
