Snr M&E Quantity Surveyor

Our client a £400m turnover international sub-contractor involved in projects across Europe and the UK require a Snr M&E Quantity Surveyor with some knowledge of the construction sector  on an ongoing temporary assignment based in Oxfordshire working with a busy and well established team on the all phases from Pre Construction to Handover on this project. The desired candidate will be degree qualified with a min 6 years experience in M&E commercial projects including a proven track record of  knowledge of  NEC Contracts, M&E measurement, take offs and subcontracts. Your responsibilities will include preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans, advising on procurement strategy, preparing tender and contracts documents, including bills of quantities, certifying progress claims and payments to contractors against work completed including valuing completed work and compiling application for payment by preparing monthly cost and value reports, including project cost and programme forecast and preparing timely and accurate assessments/payment certs for sub-contractors each month

Additional responsibilities will include producing monthly application/valuation including variation breakdowns and negotiation of final accounts, tracking the Project Spent versus Earned schedule for various work packages, undertaking complete construction take offs and prepare construction cost plan including providing cost report submissions and submission of valuation and agreement of certification each month end and cash flow submissions.
