Permanent Opportunity for Junior CAD/BIM Technician Building Services to join a leading Consultancy in Cardiff

Your new company
An award winning and established specialist M&E design consultancy based in the centre of Cardiff are looking for an ambitious and driven Junior CAD/BIM Tech to join their growing office. You'll be joining their newly refurbished office in the centre of Cardiff, where they focus on projects in the education and healthcare sectors. They have a reputation of being a highly-innovative practice within the industry and after a period of continued success, they're now looking to grow their Cardiff office. You'll be joining an office of 10, with a combination of Mechanical, Electrical and BIM specialists.

Your new role
You'll be joining as a (Building Services) Junior CAD/BIM technician for a successful MEP design team based in the centre of Cardiff, where you'll be working on a variety of healthcare and education projects. Duties will include, monitoring the adherence of project specific BIM requirements/standards, providing technical support to engineering colleagues, reporting on design clashes internally and within the wider design team, creating parametric families, support the profession wide Digital Engineering Lead in the deployment of new and advanced methods of engineering modelling and simulation. With this role you'll be joining a growing consultancy, and with that, comes the opportunity to grow with the business and work on projects that are typically valued at £15m - £20m. They invest heavily in their company training programme to support yourself in your CPD.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this opportunity, you'll have 2 years of exposure into CAD and BIM, have a passion for Digital Engineering, Building Information Modelling and innovation, can demonstrate experience of projects delivered within a BIM environment, experience calculating and scheduling within a Revit environment. You'll also have knowledge and experience of advanced BIM technology and computer programming such as dynamo & python. You'll also have strong interpersonal skills. A demonstrated track record of working in the education and healthcare sectors would be advantageous.
