Highways Technician job in Newark. Salary is competitive depending on your level of experience.

They are now looking to increase their workforce with a Highways Technician who is looking to develop their career.

Your new role
You will join a team of experienced Highways Engineers and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with other construction professionals and managers in the development of designs
  • Production of AutoCAD and Civils 3D drawings for technical approval and construction
  • Liaison with Statutory Bodies (e.g. Highways England or Local Authority)
  • Work on projects across a variety of sectors
  • Working closely as required with support functions


What you'll need to succeed
This role is critical to support and partner with clients and would suit you if you are an engineer with experience in a similar Highways Design role and who is familiar with the usual design standards such as DMRB. To be successful in the role, you will be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and have experience in the production of S278/S38 design packages which will increase the teams drawing and modelling capacity. Ideally you will have an HNC in Civil Engineering and experience using 3D Civils and Micro-drainage software packages is preferable.
