Snr Electrical Design Engineer High Voltage

Our client a busy £150m turnover specialist contractor requires a Snr Electrical Design Engineer based in their Central London offices working on High Voltage and Low Voltage design schemes on commercial, residential and mixed use projects. You will be suitably qualified with at least 5 years experience gained with design of 33KV and below networks. Responsibilities will include reviewing of design of electrical installations including the production of design drawings, diagrams and schematics for overall electrical Network. Evaluating design of HV & LV systems and collating and passing on this information to the estimating teams for preparing tenders, knowledge of design of protection and control systems for electrical substations including developing of detail construction design like exposed busbars, cables routes, units wring and interface diagrams, cables and multicore cables schedules ect. for HV substations. You will also be expected to prepare cable routine layout and containment layout for the all type of cables(Like HV, MV, LV, Communication, BMS, Fire and Security systems within Project in addition to preparing technical specification and procurement of equipment and materials for electrical HV substation.   Knowledge of G81, G99 regulations and experience of working with distribution network operator is useful in addition to CDM and Health and Safety documentations, for substations construction projects.   There is a possibility of this being offered on an ongoing temporary assignment basis
