Are you an engineer from a Building Services/Mechanical technical background, looking for an exciting long term career opportunity, with an award winning company?

They are a market leader in the engineering design and build sector, specifically the Building Services MEP sector. They work on high profile niche projects, and have a strong market present within the Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, R&D and industrial sector.

Due to continued growth and long term expansion plans, they are looking to recruit a technical Design estimator, to join their team.

The position would suit someone with a Design or estimating background, specifically in relation to the Mechanical Building Services/MEP sector. The role offers great prospects, excellent future earning potential and the chance to be involved in some amazing projects.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the technical manager to develop design solutions.
• Collate specifications and drawings from the client to develop the best engineering solution.
• Create costing sheets and create tender documentation.
• Attend site and client meetings to discuss and sign off on designs to ensure buildability.
• Develop your knowledge and become an expert in standards required for smoke and fire safety.
• Work closely with the head of technical, to ensure the continued growth and success of the team.

Requirements for the position:

• Experience within the Mechanical Building Services or smoke and fire sector, with a strong technical understanding.
• Ideally degree qualified within an engineering related subject.
• Keen to work with a growing dynamic team. This position offers superb long term prospects.
• Experience using CAD or 3D software would be beneficial.
• The ability to build relationships with team members and clients.
• Self motivated and keen to learn.
