Mechanical Project manager, nuclear manufacturing. Home based and on site in Cumbria. £65,000 plus package

Your new company

They operate internationally. Due to growth in project numbers they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to the team in Cumbria who has a strong mechanical background.



Your new role
You'll will be responsible for managing a portfolio of off site trade packages which will be incorporated in to a major project/projects on a nuclear site. They are looking for somebody who is able to handle potentially multi million pound packages of work (potentially up to £50 million), somebody who understands the manufacturing of major items on a large construction projects and of course somebody with well developed communication skills and who can nurture lasting relationships with the internal team, consortium colleagues and sub-contractors.Someone who has new ideas of how things could be done and can bring a fresh approach, fresh impetus and more importantly, be able to inspire others to deliver their plans with enthusiasm and energy.
The role would be (as a minimum) to manage key manufacturing packs for the complex process cabinets (like gloveboxes) and pipe bridges (co-axial pipe modules, shielding, support steel work).


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong mechanical background, demonstrable experience as a project manager responsible for construction projects in the nuclear sector and able to manage key manufacturing packs like stainless steel fabrications, tanks/vessels and pipework for example. You will of had exposure to NEC contracts and a background/qualifications in construction and engineering.


What you'll get in return
You will be offered an attractive permanent salary up to around £65,000 plus full benefits package. The role would be working between home and site.
