East and North Herts NHS Trust have an exciting opportunity for Sustainability & Energy Manager, based within our estates and facilities directorate. This is a key role in supporting the trust future plans.

You will be the trust-wide professional adviser for all matters regarding sustainability (environmental and social). Accountable to the Director of Estates and Facilities for the continued development and delivery of a Green Plan on behalf of the Trust.

Main duties of this role will include leading and developing the Trust Sustainability Group, through continued development and delivering and embedding the Trust Green Plan. You will be a Trust-wide lead, providing expert knowledge on all aspects of environmental and social sustainability. Making judgments involving complex facts which require analysing, interpretation and comparison of a range of options and proving informative reporting on sustainability matters for internal Trust use up to and including board level as well as for publication on behalf of the Trust.

This role will work in partnership with all areas of the trust to ensure we integrate sustainable development into our core business and ensure our use of resources is efficient.
