A well respected firm of building services and sustainability engineers located in Hertfordshire are urgently looking for a client facing Electrical / Senior Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer to assist in the design, development and delivery of major commercial, retail, leisure and mixed-use developments.

Reporting the a Director or Associate you will be responsible for running your own projects from concept stage, through design and construction to commissioning and handover. This will include preparing;

  • Electrical cable calculations (by hand and using Amtech)
  • Lighting calculations and visualisations (using Relux)
  • Specifications (using NES specification)
  • Euipment schedules and scopes of work
  • Providing guidance and leadership to Intermediate and Junior Electrical Design Engineers.

The Electrical / Senior Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer must have a good overview of fire detection, CCTV, access control, structured cabling and intruder systems, Part L & Part M and must be able to interact and influence with architects, developers and contractors and have gained extensive site and project management experience.

Our client is looking for a client facing Electrical / Senior Electrical (Building Services) Design Engineer who has completed a degree and has gained at least six years' experience as a consulting engineer who can run a project from inception to handover with no supervision.
