Principal Mechanical Engineer - Building Services - Bristol - Design Consultancy Jobs, Bristol

Your new company
Unique opportunity for an ambitious Principal Mechanical Engineer (or an established Senior) to the Building Services team within an award-winning, multidisciplinary, national engineering design consultancy working out of Bristol, UK.

Your new role
You will be working within the Building Services team managing the delivery of a wide variety of projects across the region, attending both internal and external meetings on behalf of the business and coordinating and coaching Junior Engineers to facilitate their technical progress. You'll be working on a wide range of projects within sectors ranging from Health, Data, Commercial and Residential. You will be comfortable developing your business and winning work, whilst building off of existing relationships to encourage repeat business and future projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong understanding of mechanical design with a focus toward net zero carbon building design. Strong interpersonal, project management, design, drawing and analysis skills are key, with the ability to mentor and encourage less experienced engineers to achieve success. Strong BIM processes, Revit and IES/Amtech knowledge would be advantageous. They operate a relaxed, dynamic and friendly working environment, so you must hold the same ethos and mentality. Typically, you should also be a member of or working towards full membership with a relevant institution - for example, CIBSE.

This is predominantly a technical and project management role with a proportion of business development, potentially with skills required to line-manage contracts on a technical and financial capacity and for team co-ordination.

What you'll get in return
Besides a clear line to progress, with an aim to achieve Associate level within 2 years, you can expect to receive between £45,000 - £50,000 + generous holiday entitlement, Private Medical Insurance, 4pm Friday finish and small office perks such as free fruit.
