Fixed Term Contract for Maternity cover - Project Manager on carbon net zero schemes
A large Local Authority with a busy strategic property services department have a Maternity cover post . This is a Fixed term contract for 15 months.
Your new role
Main Purpose - * Carbon Reduction *
To identify, commission and performance manage a programme of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects offered to schools and other educational establishments.
To undertake the commissioning of :- energy procurement and carbon reduction, energy management, energy/carbon reduction, capital and revenue funded projects.
To assist in the monitoring of project / programme finances and costs to ensure they are kept within budget. To monitor and report on physical progress of projects on site against set programmes and their ongoing outcomes.
To be responsible for coordinating the performance monitoring of delivery and effectiveness of property energy strategies. This includes regular monitoring and reporting and close liaison with the Energy Performance Officer
Day to day duties:
Dealing with energy projects
Running projects
Understand energy audits
Seeing how properties can be improved
Strategic work,
Improving energy ratings at council sites and buildings
Ideally a background in energy but strong projects
Tendering projects, local authority procurement experience could be helpful
Energy qualification listed is essential or equivalent.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience and knowledge of Current developments and practices in construction, energy conservation and environmental issues
Energy and Sustainability Issues
Demonstrate experience of delivering in the areas of construction relating to energy conservation and environmental issues.
Preparation of works programmes, preparation of reports and dealing with correspondence,
Working with clients, the development of their requirements and the delivery of a quality professional service

working from home with some office working when they return in September.
