Senior Mechanical Estimator

Opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to join one of the South West's leading M&E Contractors

Your new company
Our client is a respected M&E contractor in Wiltshire. They deliver mechanical and electrical services to the building services industry. They carry out installation and maintenance, alongside fire/security services on domestic and commercial projects. They pride themselves on providing a quality service & customer satisfaction and therefore a large proportion the work they deliver comes from word of mouth and repeat business. They work at every stage from design to install, through to maintenance & repair.


Your new role
As the Mechanical Estimator (Building Services) you'll be responsible for the production of detailed tender bids, attending mid and post tender meetings. You will also be liaising with clients and contractors throughout to obtain specific information relevant to the tender content and preparation. You will be able to make preliminary assessments of overhead costs and prepare tender summaries for management agreements.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have background in mechanical estimating within a building services role. High levels of accuracy and commercial acumen. Good supply chain / sub-contractor selection experience with a track record of tendering and securing projects within a value range of £1m - £5m, within a public sector and high-end residential market. Some M+E project management experience preferred, but not always essential.


What you'll get in return
Depending on level of experience the salary is likely to be around £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits.
