About the role

Working as part of the internal project management team, you will lead on all project mechanical and electrical building services engineering briefing, design and construction phase management. You will manage projects in accordance with university procedures from RIBA key stage 1 ‘preparation and brief’ through to stage 7 ‘in use’. You will work to ensure that the brief, specification, time and cost targets are established and achieved.

In addition, you will design new engineering solutions or modifications to existing systems, manage projects and contribute to the development of building and infrastructure design guidance. All of this work will be undertaken in line with health and safety, environmental legislation as well as regulation and University procedures.

About you

With significant experience track record in the delivery of mechanical and electrical projects, you will have experience of preparing engineering designs, specifications, procurement, tendering and contract management. You will have knowledge of current standards and regulations as applicable to mechanical and electrical engineering.

A strong customer focus is key, alongside a high-level of planning and organisational skills with project management experience. You will be a self-starter with the passion to provide the very best service to your customers, achieving results by using your strong negotiating and influencing skills.
