Established NI Facilities Maintenance Contractor, Belfast, single site, £16.34 per hour + Benefits

Your new company
We are delighted to be working with an established Facilities Management contractor who have steadily built an unrivalled reputation for quality.
Their aim is to develop a service whereby they can support their clients with the smooth and efficient running of their buildings and help them to evolve their space to best suit the needs of their people and business. As part of this vision, they are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team reporting to the Facilities Manager and alongside a small onsite maintenance team.

Your new role
This is a permanent job, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Based in Belfast city centre at a large single site commercial premises you will work alongside a small maintenance team who are responsible for the mechanical, electrical and building fabric compliance across the site. You will have specific responsibility for all mechanical services and be required to fault find and provide solutions to breakdowns, carryout routine planned maintenance checks and other reactive maintenance repairs.
You will work a shift pattern - 2 weeks of early shifts 7am - 4pm and 2 weeks of late shifts 9am - 6pm as well as providing on call cover every 3 weeks for 7 days. On call includes overtime, fixed on call payment and payments for receiving calls.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a fully time served Plumbing and Heating Engineer or Pipefitter with experience on commercial and industrial systems. Ideally you will have worked in a similar environment as a maintenance engineer diagnosing faults, conducting ppm checks and routine compliance inspections for legionella and sprinkler systems etc.

What you'll get in return
The rate of pay is £16.34 per hour, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. £100 per week for being On Call, plus overtime rate for attending site while On Call. You will be paid for answering call from the site while On Call. Full Uniform and Tools will be provided.
