Assistant Sustainability Manager job, London central & south, workplace contractor

Your new company
This established contractor works with high-quality and exciting workplace projects. Their head office is in south London, and they have a wide array of live sites across central London. Working with large-scale buildings, high-quality and innovative interior fit-outs, supporting high-profile and recognisable clients. With sustainability rising in importance, a new role has been created to allow the sustainability team to make a greater positive impact across the business.

Your new role
You will join a busy contractor business with a long list of live and upcoming projects across London. You will work alongside an experienced head of sustainability who will support and guide your work. You will work with live sites to assess environmental metrics, reporting to the business and clients. You will develop and implement internal environmental initiatives. You will help shape the future sustainability direction for the business, by supporting the work of the head of sustainability.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of sustainability within the built environment from either a contractor business or a consultancy. You will have experience working on active construction sites, and understand the priorities and expectations of site project teams. You will have an awareness of BREEAM and WELL standards. You will have a proactive attitude, have excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisation and time management.
