Our client is a global engineering consultancy and are well known as a leading brand undertaking challenging projects.

In this full-time permanent position, you will be the Section Manager of the Electrical team in the London office (Moorgate). The role will cover various sectors including, but not limited to Commercial (including Shell & Core and Office fit-outs), Residential, Hotels, Retail, Mixed Use developments and Data Centres.

The Section Manager is responsible for growing their medium sized team (3+ direct reports) and establishing a strong market presence and client following. Responsible for business processes and delivery as defined by business framework and performance objectives. Key role responsible for managing stakeholders and clients concerned with project delivery and to manage internal resources of your teams to deliver on projects.

This role also includes responsibility for the delivery of engineering services from design through to construction including as Project Leader responsible for the delivery of medium and large sized single and multi-disciplinary projects.

This role involves independently applying deep technical knowledge and skills on large/complex projects.

• Project Co-ordination
• Lighting Designs utilising Dialux Software
• Producing Electrical design calculations using Amtech Software
• Take an active role in project meetings
• Liaising with both internal and external design teams
• Supervision of junior staff
• Compliance with company QA system
• Take an active role in marketing and work winning activities where appropriate.

Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering combined with equivalent training, accreditation and experience.
• Be a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council UK, or actively working towards chartership.
• Well developed understanding of relevant British Standards
• Well developed understanding of Project Stages and Delivery methods (e.g. full design, design and construct)
