Senior Electrical Design Engineer. Building Services Design Engineer | London, Permanent

Your new company

This respected building services and sustainability consultancy has seen consistent growth in recent years, thanks to repeat clients, quality project delivery, and a team of enthusiastic and driven people. Their culture is relaxed, creative, and quality focused, with a new flexible office space to support agile working. Projects are varied and often contain unusual or challenging elements. Projects include residential blocks, retail and mixed-use developments, commercial. Now with a team of 15 engineers and consultants, they have identified significant growth opportunities in their MEP design team. Starting with the growth of their electrical team, with a Senior Electrical Design Engineer opportunity.

Your new role

You will join as a Senior Electrical Engineer in the London office. Taking lead of the electrical design process, working closely with your Director, and managing a small team of 4 electrical engineers. A key aspect of your role will be to take a lead role on projects, overseeing more junior members of staff and ensuring quality design is achieved. You will also have an external focus on business development and client management, looking to develop existing relationships and bring in new business where possible.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced electrical design specialist, with experience working at a senior level within the consultancy environment. Equally, if you're are a intermediate engineer looking for a step-up, this role may also be suitable. You will have experience leading on a variety of projects, ideally you will have experience on residential projects, however this is not essential. Ideally you will be charted with CIBSE or a comparable institute, although this isn't essential.
