Job Details

Our client a busy and well-established design consultancy working within the commercial, datacentre and industrial project sector require an Infrastructure Design Engineer working on a large datacentre project based in the UK working primarily from home with intermittent weekly visits to the office and client project sites with an understanding of low voltage systems design, local and wide area networks, wireless network & audio visual systems.

You will ideally be a suitably qualified with 3-5 years’ experience within a similar role with extensive knowledge and experience coordinating Low Voltage systems design, issue, procurement stage issue and construction issue design drawings, documentation (AutoCAD & Revit work predominantly undertaken by production team under your instruction). You must have a detailed understanding of Low Voltage Systems and their associated support systems: Copper and Fibre cable media, 10GB/40GB/100GB Connectivity, Cable testing, Equipment room design, Containment and Cabinetry. An understanding of the following technologies in particular interfaces with the passive infrastructure which includes Active networks, Audio Visual systems, Security systems etc is essential
