Building Services Manager
Salary £46,362 - £54,762 plus generous benefits package
We support flexible working
We are seeking an experienced Building Service Manager who is confident managing a varied set of buildings and systems and willing to share their expertise to make real impact.
One of the great things about working in Facilities at the BFI is our diverse operation; from a public cinema on London’s Southbank, to a specialist close control film storage facility in Warwickshire and a multi-tenanted office block just off Tottenham Court Road. A small and proactive team, we strive to use our varying skills and experience to help the BFI care for its National Archive, offer the widest range of UK and international moving image culture to our audiences and deepen public appreciation and understanding of film.
Your role will have two main facets; helping to manage the day-to-day maintenance and development of the mechanical and electrical services across all five of our UK sites, and managing the delivery of upcoming capital projects from concept to final handover – this could involve anything from boiler and chiller replacements to renewing AHUs that serve spaces housing National Collection materials. You will also be involved in planning and costing our future renewal strategy.
The successful candidate will have managerial and project management experience, be highly organised and be comfortable and familiar with all types of HVAC systems.
Although predominately based at our Berkhamsted site (home of the National Archive and our conservation centre), there will be frequent visits to all BFI sites and some homeworking will be possible in line with our Working Together Principles.
You will enjoy benefits such as our pension scheme, excellent support for working parents, 28-33 days annual leave, tickets to BFI festivals and events plus many others.
Further details about the post can be found on the BFI jobs and opportunities website.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 1 November 2021
First interviews will be held on Tuesday 9 November 2021
