£31,406 to £40,927 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings, and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1100 people and provide a wide range of services across our UK sites.

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to lead and manage the effective delivery of the University's water management and maintenance function. You will provide specialist technical and operational advice on university water infrastructure, services and equipment, and will work with the Engineering Manager to provide strategic direction for the Department on the water operations service. You will also contribute to the development of water system specifications and standard operating procedures, and will ensure our systems remain compliant with current legislation, University Policy, and best practice communicating to internal stakeholders as required.

You will hold a Degree in Mechanical Services Engineering or equivalent, and have some relevant experience within a similar role or have extensive relevant experience in a similar role. You will also have a proven detailed working knowledge of water infrastructures as applicable to a university environment, and will have undertaken specialist water management/legionella training.

This is a permanent, full-time post of 36.25 hours per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
