The School of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of Greenwich has seen a period of exceptional growth and success in recruiting students to our RICS and CIOB Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. We are seeking a number of well-qualified academics/practitioners with proven teaching and research experience to contribute to and support the delivery of our range of programmes in the areas of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. Currently, we are looking for seven individuals to join our school, all posts are initially to be filled at lecturer level, but for exceptional candidates senior lecturer may be offered.
You will have academic and/or professional experience in teaching and/or research experience in the Higher Education Sector, or an established track record of advanced professional practice and research. A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to undertake one would be an advantage. We are looking for staff with specialisms in, but not restricted to, the following areas:
1. Property and Construction Management
2. Quantity Surveying
3. Health, safety and occupational hygiene applied to construction, engineering, environmental protection. Ideally you will have an established track record of advanced professional practice and be a Chartered Member of IOSH and/or BOHS.
4. Sustainability and energy in the built environment applied to mechanical and electrical, building services engineering
5. Digital construction, sustainability/applied sustainability, and energy
6. Real estate and facilities management of property
7. Construction economics and the management of property and construction
8. Building surveying
9. Construction property management, property asset management or
construction project management
