Job Details

Civil Engineer job in Nottingham. Exciting opportunity to be part of a company's new venture.

Your new company
Established in the 1980's, this company has gone from strength to strength opening 3 offices across the UK since then. They are now looking to open a new office in Nottingham and this role will be a key part of the new venture.

Your new role
You will be working on projects that deliver the full package of on and off site works for residential, industrial and education developments of all scales. You will be taking on preliminary designs created at the planning stage (whether internally or externally generated), and taking detailed designs through Technical Approval. Once Technical Approval is gained, tender and construction processes are important, and you will assist others in those processes.
Projects include detailed design of road and sewers (S38/S104), and off-site highway works (S278).
You will also be involved in earthworks design at all stages of projects, notably at the detailed design stage, but often at the preliminary and planning stages when challenging topography is involved.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a hands-on designer, with experience of working on projects that deliver the full package of on and off site works for residential and industrial developments of all scales. You will have a portfolio of projects of differing scale and complexity. The scale of projects you work on will vary depending on your experience. You can demonstrate strong external facing skills and you can communicate well at all levels. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of S38, S278, S104, earthworks, Civils3D, and Microdrainage.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a generous package, depending on your level of experience, and it will include a good pension scheme. You will be joining a growing business as part of a new venture where you will have the opportunity to grow your experience, build a career and increase your renumeration. You will be able to use your expertise and knowledge to the full as well as growing your skills. Being able to work on a range of projects will give you excellent job satisfaction and add variety to your career path.
