Mechanical Associate Director - Commercial Buildings
Up to £80,000

Our client are an internationally renowned multidisciplined consulting business with an office of over 100 in the centre of London. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Associate Director with extensive office fit-out experience to help lead their existing team. In return, our client are offering an excellent salary and benefits package, and a fully agile way of working where you can choose when you are in the office. They believe in allowing their engineers to work in a way that will maximize their efficiency and understand that 5 days a week isn't necessarily the way to do that.
They work in a variety of sectors however they need someone that specialises in fit-out, so whilst you wouldn't be pigeonholed in this sector you would certainly need to be comfortable spending the majority of your time working on these types of projects. This will be very much a team manager, a client-facing role where you will be the authority when dealing with clients, Stakeholders, Architects, and Contractors.
You will need to be commercially astute with good business acumen. You don't need to have a client base of your own although that would obviously be extremely beneficial. This consultancy prides itself with all senior members of staff still getting their hands dirty and getting stuck in with design when needed. You will need to be charismatic and approachable whilst still being extremely technically minded.
They are looking for someone that is able to manage the team as well as someone that's comfortable getting out on-site dealing with subcontractors and clients.
Mechanical Associate Director Engineer Requirements:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or building services
- CEng and ideally industry recognised accreditations
- Minimum of 8 years in the building services industry
- Extremely technically capable in the design of mechanical systems
- Experience in managing small teams
This would suit an Associate level mechanical engineer with extensive office fit-out experience that is looking for a little bit more responsibility.
