Sustainability Manager Job in Wolverhampton, competitive salary with an excellent benefit package.

Your new role

Your key focus areas in the role will be carbon emissions, entrained carbon in buildings, air pollution, single-use plastics and energy management initiatives.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Sustainability and Carbon plan to achieve the client's vision and goals as well as developing an environmental management system. You will be working with both internal and external stakeholders to drive carbon and sustainability targets, as well as identifying funding partners to help deliver on the Sustainability and Carbon plan.

Financial monitoring will be undertaken, which includes managing the pay and non-pay budgets identifying cost improvements where necessary and ensuring optimum efficiency and effectiveness, as well as preparing regular financial reports and carefully record all transactions ensuring payments are made promptly and that contingency expenditure is kept under tight control.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be required to have a degree or equivalent in the built environment and/or sustainability as well as industry relevant qualification in sustainability.

It is essential that you have Experience working on sustainability matters and strategies (i.e., carbon foot printing, life cycle assessment, sustainability reporting, sustainability data analysis, environmental policy, environmental education/engagement).

You will need to have experience working on sustainability matters and strategies, in addition, you will have a strong understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

You will also be empathetic with the ability to inspire others across the organisation
