Your new company
Our client is looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the general works in relation to a highways based project in the Derbyshire area. The site is due to start towards the end of January and will involve ongoing work.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing direct and subcontractor labour to complete inductions, traffic manage for closures, site diaries, surveys of existing works, overall highway maintenance / reporting to Highway England. Other duties will include: ensuring all health and safety and legislation requirements are met. You will need to be organised, and proactive to resolve any issues that may arise on site and ensure that the works completed are to the correct standard and in keeping with the programme. The role will predominantly working nights from 7.30pm to 4.30am.
What you'll need to succeed
A positive, "right first time" attitude. You will need to have experience as a site manager working within the highways / road sector. You will hold a CSCS and SSSTS / SMSTS qualifications. A First Aid Certificate is desirable. You will also require a full UK driving licence
