A thriving specialist contractor working in the highway sector are seeking a Freelance Project Manager to join their team on a Sheffield based project.

Your new role
This position consists of assisting the Construction Manager to advise designers on the specific requirements of work under CMF contract. You will be arranging (and attending) inductions / site visits with contractor and designers, assisting with estimates for managed works, preparing requests for placements of tasks to clients by the construction manager. Other duties will include: ensuring all Health and safety aspects are adhered to, monitoring progress and implementing appropriate action plans where construction works fall behind and ensuring decisions / directions are consistent with achievement of quality, safety, programme and financial objectives. You will also be responsible for briefing managers (and their staff) on requirements of their role a the construction managers representative, ensuring KPI and measurement reports are prepared and liaise with local authorities, emergency services and other third parties to ensure successful completion of works.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a positive, quality focussed approach and experience as a Project Manager working within the highways / road sector. You will hold a CSCS and SMSTS qualifications. A First Aid Certificate is desirable. You will also require a full UK driving licence.
