The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint an industry-leading Senior Building Services professional to take up a significant leadership and delivery opportunity.

The Facilities, Residential and Commercial Services (FRCS) team have a key role to play in maintaining and improving the buildings and engineering infrastructure of the University to support the academic and research departments, based in 300 buildings (500,000 m2) across the 255-ha site. The diverse Estate includes many listed buildings from Georgian and Victorian periods as well as contemporary buildings and conservation areas coupled with the complex research laboratories.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering Services, the successful candidate will be employed within the Engineering Services Group of FRCS Capital Projects providing professional mechanical & electrical engineering support to other building professionals both in Minor Projects and on Major Capital Projects.

You will work closely with the Capital and Minor Works Project Managers and Mechanical/Electrical Consultants and Maintenance Surveyors to ensure projects are delivered to acceptable standards, within the agreed programme and within the approved budget allocation in a safe way following the Health and Safety policies of the University.

We are seeking an industry-leading candidate with significant experience in an engineering / building services project delivery role across a large, complex organisation with a broad range of core activities.  With a background and professional qualification in building services, you will possess a proven track record understanding the fundamentals of engineering and applying them to a campus environment. 

With excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, the appointed candidate will possess the proven ability to operate successfully with a multitude of internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
